right now my arm is hurting me so i can't practice hitting that much. I've got to see the ball better and get my swing more efficient. I ran a 4.7 down the line today, that is bullshit. I will practice that and make it better.
i need to get some rythym with my legs in my muscle memory, and I need to get the bat-head out, in the zone a long time, and through the ball- hitting behind the ball. You'll know it when you feel it.

breakfast: 5 eggs, bacon, almonds, fish oil, bottle of water (2)

Dinner- meat, vegetable, fish oil

building discipline is like building a muscle.
go to bed at 9:30, wake up at 6:30
before bed: shave, wash face, brush teeth, take out contacts, eye drops
bat tilt/swivel
when the bat flattens out behind you, thats bat. you can only turn it in your hands horizontally and this is easy to see on film as the bat turns around your hands at the end in a horizontal mode and you don't stay through the ball, no release of the bathead.

do the swivel with the top hand and lead arm EARLY and slow maybe. Do it high- don't drop your hands or upercut the ball. Do it without the shoulders. Do it rythymically so it can be smooth.
practice doing the swivel all the time with half-cuts and dry hacks. make sure you are incorporating enough game speed practicar into your routine. The drills are good, but make sure you are incorporating enough game speed swings with the drilled mechanics and not just relying on the drills to affect your swing. Hit curveballs out front, don't wait on them to break before attacking them.

don't pull the hands out from under the barrel- turn the barrel with a strong wrist and in connection with the elbows and shoulders. don't turn the shoulders either during the barrel turn.
the hips work by rotating them against the rear leg until they are fully stretched, in which case they will then fire around.
make sure you are still swinging without the shoulders.
drill set:
turn the foot towards the pitcher and load the hip, and release it. turn the foot slightly in a repeat, until you get fully around to square. do 5x5 with this. do it on the turf mound and then move to flat ground. then do it on the turf mound again with barrel turn backwards. then move to the ground/ same. then do this w/ half swings, then half swings off the tee, and then finally off the tee. then go to front toss. then go all the way back through the routine, backwards.
its about love and passion. self-confidence is born in love and passion. don't question yourself, believe, and know that even if not currently you feel like you can be a big leaguer, you will eventually and that someday it will all pay off.
I've become a successful hitter because i've put in my ten thousand hours and figured out the right way to swing. I deserve it.
I love the game, every part of it, even running the bases and the outfield. Feel like in the outfield, that there is this tension right before the ball goes up in coach bogg's hand and that you feel this intense need to get under the ball and catch it, to not let it drop.
everything is born in love and passion.
thank-you jesus christ and god.

on the swings where i was thinking about throwing the bathead and keeping the shoulders square (1 13) i was getting a better look through contact on the video. i think it might be because my right arm was working better, had more leverage on the bat. once again, there might be things i need to work on in practice, and then see if they evolve in bp than specifically work on them in bp.
right now i'm just rotating w/ my hands along for the ride. i need to throw the bathead and keep the shoulders square.
i could combine by routine of throwing the bathead drills and my new ones.
goals for week:
see myself load against a solid rear leg with my hips and my leg turning forward simultaneously on video by friday.
see less shoulder rotation in the swing, a sooner contact point, less hand push, and more bat turn behind me.

lead arm working up "jut" is critical
quickness- don't match the speed of the pitch w/ your swing, snap the bat as fast and late as possible
david wright says he likes tot try to swing with his shoulders square the whole time
in an amatuers swing, from the front view, you can see the barrel the whole time. from the view of a pro- you can see the barrel disappear behind him.
